Job Summary
We are looking for a financial professional to work within the Surgery & Cancer Board. You will have financial management experience within the NHS, ideally acute sector, and will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial reporting of the Theatres & Anaesthesia Division.You will produce monthly budgetary reports and support budget holders in understanding their financial performance, investigating variances and providing analysis as required. You will be a strong communicator and will have the ability to build and maintain relationships within the Division and be able to present complex financial information ensuring engagement and understanding.The successful candidate will be familiar with a broad range of financial management systems and processes and possess strong Excel skills and will have excellent attention to detail.You will be expected to make an active contribution to the department and will be a team player within the Board finance team.

Main Duties:o Play a key role in the accurate and timely reporting of the Theatres & Anaesthesia Divisiono Produce detailed variance analysis on the reported and underlying positiono Independently lead on budget holder meetings and to be able to interpret and explain complex financial information (verbally and written) to non-finance staffo Maintain budgeted and actual establishmentso Ensure recovery of salary and other income
