Job Summary
Data Science and clinical intelligence are revolutionising healthcare, offering opportunities for continuous clinical improvement as well as more personalised care. In this senior role, you will lead on the design, delivery, and continued improvement of our data management platform and services. As we seek to improve clinical quality through digital solutions, we’ll look to your expertise in designing and developing data solutions, with a particular focus on cloud and web-based data platforming. You will also lead on the specification and development of datasets, processes and data governance, ensuring we deliver a first-class service to the Trust.

Main duties of the job
This is a senior position, playing a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of the Trust data management architecture, products and services, providing innovative solutions to drive improvements in clinical services and patient care.
The post holder will play a key role in shaping the role and services provided by the Data Engineering team, leading on the planning and development of the necessary architecture, tools, and resources to handle high variety, volume, and velocity data sets. The post holder will ensure effective communication of conclusions and recommendations across the organisation’s leadership structure.
The post-holder will lead on the specification and development of diverse datasets, models, and dashboarding to deliver a first class, comprehensive and proactive service to the Trust. The post holder will ensure the integrity and governance of data across all datasets.
To proactively provide highly specialised advice and guidance on data ingestion, orchestration, modelling, data mining, visualisation, Cloud services, statistical algorithms and data quantitative techniques including the development of unstructured health related data sets and information.
The post holder will provide assessments, recommendations, and planning on the use of emerging Cloud and cognitive/data science technologies. They will follow agreed methodology and approach for developing and managing data science projects and advanced analytics in the Trust.
