Job Summary
East Cheshire NHS trust are opening a purpose-built Community Diagnostic centre at the Congleton War Memorial Hospital site. We are developing and expanding our Cardio-respiratory department to support a wide range of diagnostic services and we are seeking a highly motivated Senior Clinical Support Worker to support our clinical team. You will work on rotation at both the Congleton and Macclesfield sites to ensure you maintain competency in all areas.
The work involves a high level of patient contact, performing a wide variety of both Cardiac and Respiratory diagnostic investigations. We are a dynamic, forward thinking, and friendly team which is continuously expanding and developing the services that we offer. We work closely with our Cardiology and Respiratory consultants and have strong links with the oncology team providing diagnostic support for local and national research projects.
You will have significant experience of working within a cardio-respiratory team and be able to undertake all basic investigations without supervision. You will hold the Association of Respiratory Technicians and Physiologists (ARTP) accreditation in Spirometry or be working towards this.
We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, flexible, thrive on variety and willing to learn new skills. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team and must have a positive and proactive approach to work.
Main duties of the job
To support the cardio-respiratory team, in the delivery of a high-quality diagnostic service. To carry out the full range of basic cardiac and respiratory investigations with or without indirect supervision from a registered Physiologist. To support the delivery of diagnostic services, ensuring a high standard of technical work is maintained. The post holder will be responsible for stock control and ordering within the department.
