Main duties of the job

  • Develop and maintain the Master and Reference Data architecture strategy and roadmap.
  • Design corresponding data models, data flow diagrams, and data integration patterns.
  • Ensure data architecture aligns with the overall solution architecture and meets business requirements and adheres to NHS data vision.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of solution architecture ahead of technical design authority meetings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical data solutions.
  • Review and scrutinise data architecture solutions from suppliers and validate the implementation of these solutions.
  • Define data management frameworks, policies, and standards and assure them through relevant governance and review panels.
  • Validate data integration requirements and data integration workflows.
  • Validate supplier approach to data consistency and integrity across different data sources and systems.
  • Validate data integration processes to ensure efficiency and performance.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify data requirements and design data models.

Evidence of leading data architectural designs for complex projects You will have a highly developed understanding of overall data landscape, technology, and trends.

Experience of making recommendations for how the organisation should resolve any breaches of data standards

Ability to provide oversight and advice to more inexperienced members of the team.

Developing and maintaining an Reference and Master Data Strategy and roadmap.

Conducting data analysis to identify data requirements.

Working with cross-functional teams to achieve a successful outcome.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Masters or equivalent qualification, specifically in a computing, scientific or mathematical subject or equivalent experience

Skills
