Job Summary

The Targeted Lung Health Check Coordinator role is there to support the development the Targeted Lung health Check Project across the trust and the primary care setting to provide high-quality, cost-effective service using research, audit and evidence-based practice.

The post holder will assist and coordinate relevant multi-disciplinary team meetings for Targeted Lung Health Check patients. Be responsible for ensuring an optimum level of efficient clerical and administrative support to theclinical respiratory team for the MDT meetings in a timely and accurate manner.

You will have contact with patients, carers, and all members of the multi-professional clinical team.Manage the database of patients who have been referred into the THLC service ensuring patients are booked in for relevant appointments. Provide Medical Secretarial support to the Targeted Lung Health Check Consultant.

Education and qualifications

Essential

  • RSA Ill Typing Word or Equivalent Good Standard of General Education (Including Maths and English)
  • Proven Computer literacy
  • Good Standard of General Education (Including Maths and English)

Experience and knowledge

Essential

  • Previous experience as PA or Secretary
  • A knowledge of Medical Terminology

Desirable

  • Previous NHS or related environment
  • Some customer care experience

Skills and abilities

Essential

  • Audio Typing
  • Understanding of Databases
  • Touch Typing
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
  • Accurate Key Board Skills
  • Able to demonstrate skills that ensure tasks are completed accurately and within a given timeframe.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Hospital Administration System
  • Understanding of MDT meetings
