MLCSU have an exciting opportunity to join our established IT service as a Servers Specialist is now available. We are looking for a dedicated specialist with extensive knowledge of IT Server infrastructure.

As a successful applicant you will have operational experience of working in an ITIL based IT operations environment, essentially within an IT infrastructure setting.

Main duties of the job

This post will be responsible for ensuring that wintel, storage and virtualisation systems are maintained to the required standards. The post will be responsible for ensuring that all issues and incidents are resolved within the agreed Service Level Agreements with our clients and that a high level of client satisfaction is maintained. Key to this post will be an extensive knowledge of Microsoft, NetApp and VMWare technologies and protocols, including but not limited to; AD, storage, backup, security and virtualisation . The post holder will be required to stay up to date onemerging technologies to assess how these could benefit the organisation and its clients. The post will also provide third line support in the resolution of highly complex technical issues and will support other support activities and management of projects to meet the local needs of the CSU and its clients.
