Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of various machinery within our production environment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, the ability to fabricate and assemble components, and proficiency in using hand tools and CAD software. The Machine Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Duties

  • Operate and monitor machinery to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Fabricate and assemble components according to specifications.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilise tooling effectively to produce high-quality products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise during production.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Document production activities accurately, including any discrepancies or issues encountered.

Skills

  • Proficient in using hand tools and machinery relevant to the manufacturing process.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in machine operation.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software for design purposes is advantageous.
  • Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control assessments.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting machinery issues.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
