Job Summary

As an Advanced Integration Engineer you will be a Technical lead for the development and management of integration services for University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust’s clinical and business systems ensuring tha tall integration services are effectively planned, specified, implemented and maintained.

This role will support the Integration Team Manager with the project management of the functional areas identified above in relation to all IT projects undertaken by UHP and assists with the planning and delivery of the OneDevon EPR programme, Integrated CarePartnership, ICS and other regional initiatives(e.g. Shared Care Record).This role is specialised in nature and the postholder is expected to be very knowledgeable and skilled in healthcare integration standards, protocols, development and technical management.

Person Specification

Qualifications/Experience

Essential

  • Educated to degree standard in Software Development or related discipline or a minimum of 2 years relevant demonstrable experience

Desirable

  • Experience of Intersystem’s Healthshare HealthConnect (formerly Ensemble)
  • Epic Bridges Certification

Integration Knowledge

Essential

  • Proven knowledge and understanding of HL7
  • Good understanding of the Intersystems Healthshare Health Connect suite of integration products
  • Good understanding of techniques of integrating data between Information Systems

Desirable

  • Proven Knowledge and Understanding of FHIR

Personal Skills

Essential

  • Excellent critical thinking skills and experience of resolving complex issues
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
  • Attention to detail and a strong quality first approach
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
