Job Summary

The post holder will report to the Head of Business Intelligence and sits as a key member of the management team within Performance & Informatics (P&I). As such, the postholder will work across the P&I portfolio but will also work alongside Trust colleagues within Clinical Groups and Specialties, Workforce, Finance, Strategy & Transformation.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Business Intelligence and Informatics team within the Performance & Informatics portfolio.

Data is one of the most important assets of any organization, especially at UHCW. Business Intelligence & Informatics capabilities are key to delivering patient care and driving operational and performance outcomes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to continue developing and evolving the business intelligence culture and maturity within the Trust.

The post holder will join the Performance & Informatics (P&I) department, the largest of our corporate services. The P&I portfolio includes Business Intelligence & Informatics, Corporate Performance, Information Systems Development, Analytical Development, Clinical Coding, Data Quality, Patient Access, and Cancer Services.

The post holder will directly manage a team of analysts to lead improvements in data and BI around Elective, Cancer, and Urgent & Emergency Care throughout the Trust, while also supporting the Trust’s Clinical Groups and Specialties with their needs.

This senior role within P&I requires working independently to provide high-level analysis, systems development, and investigation. The successful candidate must have the skills to interpret, articulate, and create business intelligence and insights to inform and drive decision-making.
