Job Summary
Speech and Language Therapy Apprentice
Fixed term 4 years
CLCH Academy have partnered with University of Hertfordshire to deliver this exciting 4 year apprenticeship program. During the program you will gain a wide range of knowledge and clinical skills in a variety of settings, while also undertaking a BSc (honours) degree. Successful completion leads to Speech and Language registration with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Main duties of the job
This is a developmental role for those already working within Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.
Applicants must demonstrate significant experience of working in a clinical healthcare environment. Applicants will also need to have successfully completed any probation period.
The apprentice will work towards progression into the post of Speech and Language Therapist through successful completion of the Speech and Language Therapy apprenticeship which includes the attainment of a level 6 BSc (honours) degree.
The Speech and Language Therapy Apprenticeship combines and integrates both academic and work-based learning through close collaboration between employers and education providers. As an apprentice you will have a primary base as an employee, in a particular organisation, in a specific setting, but will have placements to experience working in alternative settings in order that they gain a wide appreciation of many health and care contexts and are able to fulfil all the requirements of the programme.

Aged over 18 on the first day of programme
Applicants must have been ordinary resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years and any visas must cover the full length of the apprenticeship without needing to be renewed.
Have the right to work and study in England
UK Maths and English level 2 or equivalent (This includes functional skills level 2, GCSE C and above (or 4 and above) or O level C or above)
Equivalent level 3 qualifications to 120 UCAS points including a science or healthcare subject
Additional information to note:
You will be required to present the hard copies of your certificates on the day of the interview.
Any original overseas qualification documentation will need to be accompanied by a UK NARIC / ENIC statement of comparability, with evidence of this in your application of the apprenticeship with no renewal date.
