Care Assistant: Sponsorship Available

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with residents to assist with daily activities, promote independence, and enhance their quality of life. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Duties

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support individuals in following their care plans and achieving their personal goals.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Drive residents to appointments or activities as required.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions.
• Help create a warm and welcoming environment within the care home or during home visits.
• Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
• Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Experience

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with residents and colleagues.
• A willingness to learn about individual care plans and adapt to the needs of each resident.
• A valid driving licence is preferred for those required to transport residents.
• An understanding of basic IT skills is beneficial for maintaining records and using care management software.
