Senior Care Assistant (Nights): Sponsorship Available

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will also play a key role in supervising junior staff and assisting with the implementation of care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.

Duties

• Deliver personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Maintain accurate records of residents’ health and well-being, ensuring that care plans are followed and updated as necessary.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Assist in the administration of medication as per established protocols.
• Engage residents in social activities and promote their independence through meaningful interactions.
• Ensure that the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.

Skills

• Proven experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents and their families compassionately.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communication within the team.
