We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to work within our well-established Early Years Language and Development Service (EYCLDS) in Bolton.
This service has a clear, robust and integrated pathway which sits alongside the Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy service in Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
You will work:
- Amongst a strong team of therapists and assistants to meet the aims and objectives of the Start Well Service including the framework for the Early Years Communication and Language Development Service Pathway for Communication and Language, within the Early Years New Delivery Model GMCA (Greater Manchester Combined Authority) and other relevant local strategies.
- With interpreters to support all families to have equitable access to supporting their child’s speech, language and communication needs across the Bolton locality.
- As part of a multi-agency team providing advice and training to Early Years Providers and the wider workforce including Midwives, Public Health Nurses, Early Years Practitioners and Social Care.
- To achieve the overall aim of the service; to develop every child’s communication potential at every given opportunity across the Bolton system.
