Interested in working in South Warwickshire? This is an exciting opportunity for a committed, organised and enthusiastic individual to join the Multiple Sclerosis community (CMSRT) service across South Warwickshire as a Physio’ rehabilitation assistant. The post available is for our South Warwickshire Team based at Leamington Spa Rehabilitation Hospital

In this post, you will be working with a small team of therapists from different disciplines, predominantly Physiotherapy, working within the community services. You will need to hold a full UK driving Licence and have access to your own vehicle. A travel allowance will be paid.

Your role will be to help provide timely and targeted care to patients in their own home in line with NICE guidelines and you will receive ongoing support.

We are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for patient centred care and is a real team player. Some experience of working within a healthcare setting is desirable but more importantly a passion for working with people, excellent communication skills, flexibility, good time management and organisational skills are essential for this post.

 

Main duties of the job

The role of the Assistant Practitioner is to deliver a high quality, caring and compassionate patient care. The post holder will be undertake assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient care needs for a defined group of patients under the indirect supervision of a registered professional in their specialist area. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of nursing care within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Obtained an educational level of GCSE level A – C English and Maths or equivalent
  • Minimum Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or equivalent higher apprenticeship
  • Care Certificate or willingness to work towards attaining it

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience in delivering care and working in a healthcare, people centred environment.
  • Experience working as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Experience in supervising others at work

Skills

  • Evidence of competence in patient assessment skills
  • Evidence of specialist extended skills and competencies
  • Evidence of regular updates and utilisation of specialist skills and competencies
  • Able to implement and evaluate treatment
