Key Responsibilities
- Supporting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene
- Supporting mobility and safe transfers
- Assisting with medication administration and management in line with care plans and training
- Taking and recording vital signs (e.g. blood pressure, temperature)
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding where required
- Monitoring and reporting changes in service users’ conditions
- Providing emotional support to service users and their families
- Supporting individuals to access social and community activities, promoting independence and wellbeing
- Encouraging service users to maintain daily routines and social engagement
Skills & Qualities We’re Looking For
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Compassion, empathy, and a caring nature
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow care plans
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role
- Basic knowledge of medication, medical terminology, or care procedures is beneficial (but not essential)
