Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Recovery team at Clatterbridge Theatres . We have 10 theatres covering Orthopaedics, General, Urology, Gynaecology , Opthalmics .

We have 12 recovery bays and an Enhanced Recovery Unit which has 6 bays

This role includes the following shift patterns :

Days, Weekends , and night shifts

Main duties of the job

Participate under the supervision of the specialist core team members in the planning, delivery and evaluation of care for all patients during the perioperative period( utilising and adapting transferable skills acquired during training)

Maintain accurate records of the theatre episode with Trust Departmental policies

Promote safety, wellbeing and interests of patients ,staff and visitors to the clinical area

Promote clinical governance by actively participating in the risk management process within the trust

Value and respect individuals by actively adopting the trust core values and behaviors

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training

Essential

  • Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practice
  • Maintain up to date skills and knowledge and maintain awareness of professional issues

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Participate in teaching and developing staff, regularly taking part in learning activities that develop skills and knowledge of self and others

Desirable

  • Ensure the effective use of physical and financial resources

Personal Attributes

Essential

  • Ability to identify own learning requirements.
