Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, promoting dignity and independence.
• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
• Help with medication management in accordance with care plans and healthcare professionals’ instructions.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.
• Support clients in engaging with social activities and community outings where appropriate.
• Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff.
• Use IT systems to update care records and document observations as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving community visits or outings.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Basic IT skills are required for maintaining electronic care records.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately.
• Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience and empathy towards clients’ needs.
