Job Summary

  • Work as a trainee NM Radiographer performing a range of Isotope examinations
  • Complete Pg Diploma in Nuclear Medicine with affiliated university course
  • Complete in-house competencies and training

  • Be responsible for professional leadership and the education, training and development of self and other
  • Work across professional and organisational boundaries to improve patient outcomes.
  • To undertake all duties associated with the provision of a modern Isotope Imaging service, always providing a high standard of care.
  • To participate in the supervision and training of student radiographers and isotope imaging trainees.
  • Good Communication between post holder and department regarding any changes

 

Main duties of the job

The Post holder will:

Perform a wide variety of specialised Isotope imaging procedures and examinations as service needs required by radiology.

Able to deal with high pressure demands from service users, ensuring patient care is not compromised.

Work as part of a team in Isotope imaging within the Trust, but also autonomously, prioritising and managing own workload.

Experience

Essential

  • Previous Nuclear Medicine Department Experience

Must be HCPC / RCT registered

Essential

  • BSc or equivalent in Radiography
  • Must complete Pg Dip in Nuclear Medicine if not already obtained
  • Previous experience in Nuclear medicine Department

Desirable

  • Pg Dip in Nuclear Medicine
  • Post Grad in Clinical Imaging
  • Previous experience in Nuclear medicine
