Staffordshire Childrens Hospital@Royal Stoke University Hospital (SCH@RSUH) are launching a brand-new Tongue-Tie (Infant Frenulotomy) Service, we are looking for a caring, motivated and skilled individual to join the Tongue-Tie team as an infant feeding support worker.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join SCH@RSUH as an infant feeding support worker who will provide feeding support and guidance to parents and support the delivery of tongue-tie clinics.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a health- or childcare-related field.
  • A good standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Willingness to undertake tongue-tie-related education and competency training.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Experience within maternity, neonatal, paediatric, or community health settings
  • Competent in documentation, IT systems, and data entry

Skills

Essential

  • Experience supporting families with infant feeding difficulties.
  • Skilled in communication, empathy, and building trust with families.
  • Compassionate, calm, and family-centred approach.
  • Positive team player with a commitment to high-quality care and continuous improvement.
