Main duties of the job

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated processes and bespoke software applications to meet the Trust’s unique requirements, particularly for the EPR programme.
  • Plan and execute data migration from existing systems into new digital solutions.
  • Analyse user requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and determine the best approach using a range of technologies (including traditional, no-code, and low-code options).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide feedback, and ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor and optimise application performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support within the ITIL framework.
  • Document technical processes and decisions to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by researching emerging technologies, developing prototypes, and sharing best practice across the team.
  • Support the professional development of colleagues by facilitating shadowing, training, and mentoring opportunities.
  • Ensure all work complies with Trust policies, including data security, confidentiality, and health and safety regulations.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in Digital related field, or equivalent in-depth experience
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation

Desirable

  • Post Graduate Qualification
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • TOGAF Certification (The Open Group Architecture Framework)

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience of working with automation technology to deliver complex automations
  • Experience of developing solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Flow (Automate)
  • Experience in producing clear and maintainable documentation for developed solutions
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex software issues, providing timely and effective resolutions. Judgements involving a range of facts or situations which require the analysis or comparison of a range of options

Skills

Essential

  • System development and data migration
  • Technical expertise in at least 3 of the following: Blue Prism Microsoft Power Platform PowerShell C# WordPress SQL

Knowledge

Essential

  • Advanced system configuration knowledge
  • Database creation and effective use with of varying relational database technologies
  • Awareness of GDPR, IG and data security protocols in healthcare

Desirable

  • Copilot capabilities
