We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, with an emphasis on dignity and respect for each individual. The Care Worker will be responsible for delivering high-quality care while fostering a supportive environment for our service users.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care to patients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support patients with meal preparation and ensure they receive proper nutrition.
Assist in manual handling & transferring of patients as required.
Monitor and document patient behaviour and health status, reporting any changes to management, family, health professionals.
Engage with patients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
accompany patients to appointments or social activities when necessary.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Skills
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record preferred
- Experience working in home care
- Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Competent IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
