Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to train as a Sonographer in our Ultrasound department. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with an interest in pursuing a career in Ultrasound.

 

Main duties of the job

A exciting training opportunity has arisen within the Ultrasound team at NLAG to undertake Post graduate training in Ultrasound. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to train as a Sonographer in our Obs and Gynae Ultrasound team. This will comprise of practical training within our Ultrasound departments across all sites and also formal training at a higher Educational Institution.

Person Specification

Education / Qualifications

Essential

  • 2:1 in recognised Health care profession degree
  • Up to date professional portfolio
  • Hold or be able to apply for HCPC, NMC or GMC registration or equivalent

Other Requirements

Essential

  • Able to work 8am-6pm
  • Able to work across all NLAG sites
  • Some weekend working will be required
  • Full UK Driving licence

Communication and interpersonal skills

Essential

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate with patients and other health care workers
  • Commitment to undergo all training requirements of the post.
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate with patients and other health care workers.

Knowledge, Training and Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrate experience of working within healthcare

Desirable

  • Demonstrate experience of working within medical Ultrasound
