Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking forward thinking, dynamic, enthusiastic Consultant Rheumatologists to work among a team of 3 Consultants, 1 Specialty Doctor 1 Specialist Registrar and 6 nurse specialists in the department of Rheumatology.
The successful candidates should have the ability to adapt to the department quickly to ensure the transfer of clinical workload causes minimal disruption to the department and to continuity of patient care. We are looking for part time or full time Consultants to work within a dynamic team

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered with the GMC
- Licensed to practice
- On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Rheumatology or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview and have passed exit exam or a statement of eligibility for registration issued by PMETB or a primary medical qualification and recognized specialist qualification from a European Member State which will allow direct entry to the GMC Specialist Register
Desirable
- Further relevant degree/diploma
- Teaching qualification/Higher qualification in medical education
Experince
Essential
- Evidence of an ability to develop effective working relationships, on an individual and multi-disciplinary basis with all levels of staff (“Working Together”)
- Evidence of working with management and clinical colleagues to improve a service (“Always Improving”)
- Values partnership with other agencies (“Working Together”)
- Experience and knowledge in diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal disease.
- Evidence of teaching and training of post/undergraduate clinical staff
- Evidence of initiating, progressing and completing audit
- Previous experience of working in the NHS/experience of NHS working practices and systems
