Main duties of the job
As a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, you will have excellent communication skills and a broad knowledge of working in the community with children and their wider family.
You will be a solution focused team player who will support the delivery of the universal offer in a 0-19 integrated neighbourhood team.
You will manage a universal plus and partnership plus caseload, working collaboratively with other agencies to ensure protection and the best health outcomes for children and families in Bolton. As a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse you will work within the community dealing with clients from diverse backgrounds with varying levels of need.
Specialist Community Public Health Nurses in Bolton deliver an evidence based service using a wide range of assessment and intervention tools as well as providing excellent support alongside a wider multi-disciplinary 0-19 service.

Qualifications
Essential
- UK NMC registration for nursing and SCPHN-SN
- Evidence of current SCPHN in practice
- Demonstrates evidence of safeguarding and early intervention
- Demonstrates CPD and EBP
- Demonstrates evidence of leadership skills
Desirable
- Evidence of supporting pre and post registration students
- Demonstrates knowledge of current Public Health issues
Experience
Essential
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
Desirable
- Experience of mentoring students and staff.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
- Experience of public health work
- Experience of safeguarding work

- Ability to use information systems
