Main duties of the job

As a midwife, you’ll begin your journey by taking part in our accelerated preceptorship programme – guiding and supporting you on your journey to become a successful midwife.

Working across our two hospitals and within the community, you’ll have an important role to play in the care across the whole spectrum of pregnancy and birth. You will have the opportunity during your preceptorship or induction to work in all areas including Delivery Suite, community, Ante natal services and inpatient areas. .

The multi-faceted nature of our Maternity Services unit means you’ll ensure families accessing our services receive excellent care, that’s tailored to their individual needs at every stage of their journey.

As a Midwife, you’ll be an active part of our Improvement Programme – being a voice for positive change within our multi-disciplinary team. You’ll have a say in how we implement, deliver, and evaluate our care and you will be part of the decision-making process that drives our transformation.
