Main duties of the job

We are seeking an accomplished HR professional with a proven track record in delivering impactful operational HR solutions. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in shaping and implementing workforce plans at the operational level, combined with a strong ability to lead and influence significant organisational change initiatives. You will provide expert guidance to managers on critical processes such as restructuring and TUPE transfers, ensuring seamless transitions and positive outcomes.

Our ideal applicant will have held a senior HR position, bringing in-depth knowledge of HR best practices and employment law. You will possess the confidence and expertise to support managers through challenging HR matters, tackle inappropriate practices diplomatically, and drive forward innovative, practical solutions that benefit both individuals and the wider organisation.

  • Chartered Member of the CIPD
  • Masters degree in relevant HR Management or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of recent generalist HR in a large complex organisation
  • Experience across a broad range of HR work including HR policy development and implementation covering investigations, grievance, capability, probation and dignity at work etc.
  • Experience of consultation and working in partnership with Trade Unions
  • Experience of workforce planning across a range of disciplines
  • Experience of applying a business partner approach

Desirable

  • Previous NHS experience at HR BP level
