Job summary

There is an excellent opportunity to develop both your clinical and leadership skills within the North Hub CMHTs based at Northcroft. We are a well established and highly functional team, committed to maintaining high standards and delivering quality care to our diverse community.

As an experienced and skilled clinician, you will provide appropriate and compassionate care, while also offering clinical leadership, support, and supervision to other clinical staff.

You will support the team by providing advice and guidance on the management of complex clinical cases.

You will work as an integral part of the Community Mental Health Team, which will include undertaking some direct clinical work. In addition, you will provide clinical leadership to ensure clear protocols are in place and to maintain consistency and quality of care for all service users under the North Hub CMHTs.

Main duties of the job

You will support safe, efficient, and high quality transitions across appropriate care pathways, and ensure the team works collaboratively with multi agency partners across the Birmingham and Solihull system.

You will work as part of a team, taking every opportunity to impact both directly and indirectly on the health and wellbeing of all clients on the caseload. You will be able to work both under direction and autonomously, as agreed with the team manager, demonstrating safe clinical decision making and delivering compassionate care.

Person Specification

clinical knowledge and experience in working in a clinical leadership post

Essential

  • significant experience of having responsibility for clinical decisions and knowledge of CMHT. Evidence of improving service quality.
  • Evidence of additional training and experience in leading in complex clinical cases.

Desirable

  • having experience in conducting clinical supervisions and supporting junior staff
  • ability to work in a pressured environment and experience working with people in diverse roles.
