You will lead the identification of learning, leadership and workforce development priorities across the Trust, designing and implementing programmes that support individual development, organisational performance and workforce sustainability. Working with Organisational Development colleagues, you will support culture change, transformation, succession planning, talent development and apprenticeship initiatives.

You will develop and monitor KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning, leadership and development activities, ensuring alignment with Trust priorities. As part of the North West London Acute Provider Group, you will work collaboratively with system partners to promote a consistent approach to learning and leadership development.

The role has responsibility for managing the Training Centre, Training Team, Apprenticeship Lead and delegated budgets. The successful candidate will bring significant experience of leading organisational development, learning and leadership programmes, undertaking workforce analysis and learning needs assessments, and building effective relationships across organisations to drive improvement and workforce development.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have oversight of the Corporate learning and development offer and support reporting analysis and implementation of the OD, learning and leadership development programme and benchmarking/improvement frameworks.

They will work across the Trust and APC on the analysis of workforce development needs and the delivery of an inclusive training, learning and development offer to meet the workforce development needs.

They will support the Head of OD, Learning and Leadership to develop and deliver transformational programmes and projects for the creation of a more inclusive workforce in line with the Trust and ICS’s priorities and APC service improvement for the North West London workforce.

They will be required to work across the Trust to implement a positive learning culture to address staffing and recruitment challenges including role redesign, recruitment and retention, all training including EDI and bullying and harassment.

They will deliver major leadership and management initiatives working with the OD Partners and external OD experts, staff and patient focus groups, Board members and external and internal stakeholder groups that have been set up for this purpose.

They will manage the training centre, the training Admin Officers and Apprenticeship Programme Manager and delegated budgets.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • 1. Professional registered Chartered CIPD Member (MCIPD)
  • 2. Educated to master’s Degree or equivalent senior experience – OD, Change management, learning, training etc
  • 3. Evidence of continuous professional development – OD, learning, leadership development Devt. 4.OD, leadership, training qualification
  • 4. OD, Change Management, Training qualifications

  • 5. Project or Programme Management

Knowledge and experience

Essential

  • 1.Extensive experience of working on large, complex OD and Learning projects and programmes at a senior level
  • 2.Significant experience of workforce innovation practice and issues, working across multiple partner organisations
  • 3.Demonstrable experience and success in managing complex OD, learning and leadership workforce initiatives.
  • 4.Experience of translating complex operational and best practice evidence into concise service reports to senior leaders, Trust Board and key stakeholders
  • 5.Extensive knowledge and application of OD diagnostic and change management tools, techniques and frameworks
  • 6.Experience of leading and managing teams
  • 7.Extensive facilitation/training skills to support OD and culture work on ED & I.
  • 8.Demonstrable experience of proactively promoting inclusion leadership in complex organisations.
  • 9.Experience of designing and managing an OD and learning development programme

  • 3.Ability to develop proposal reports for new OD, leadership and management programmes and initiatives.

  • 5.Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills including facilitation, negotiation, obtaining, providing and presenting information.

  • 7.Capable of designing, implementing and supporting project and programme infrastructures.
  • 8.Ability to develop internal policies, documents and performance metrics.

  • 10.Advanced IT skills; ability to use Microsoft word, excel, power point, MS Teams, LMS
