Job summary
The team leader role in the podiatry service will lead in the High Risk Foot Service in Secondary Care across the two main hospital sites- Bradford Royal Infirmary and Airedale General Hospital. They will work closely with the team lead in the High Risk Foot Service in Primary Care, ensuring an MDT approach in the management of foot wounds across the locality.
They will support the Podiatry Clinical/Operational Lead , by leading the development and delivery of a podiatry service utilizing specialist clinical skills along side playing a leadership role in the line management of a team of staff within the service.
The successful candidate will facilitate and lead a wide range of quality improvements, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and clinical audit activities within their specified locality, liaising with appropriate health care professionals and working upon trust initiatives to ensure that current practices are maintained and developed in line with the modernization agendas.

Main duties of the job
Day to day running of the Rapid Access Foot Ulcer Clinics.
To advise the Operational Manager on clinical issues relating to the planning and organization of Podiatry Services to patients in the High Risk Foot Service clinical area including the development of Standard Operating Procedures and Clinical Standards.
Offer highly specialist clinical advice to colleagues in specified clinical area.
Take an active role in clinical governance .e.g. audit design, and evaluation of evidence in specified clinical area.
Maintaining a safe and effective service whilst managing KPI’s.
Stock and budget management.
