Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive general anaesthetic service and contribute to the ongoing development of anaesthetic services across the Trust.You will:- Deliver high-quality elective and emergency anaesthetic care- Participate in the consultant on-call rota- Support teaching and supervision of trainees and medical students- Contribute to clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities- Participate in departmental research programmes- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams- Provide leadership and support service development initiatives- The post offers flexibility to support candidates wishing to develop subspecialty interests including perioperative medicine, paediatric anaesthesia, obstetric anaesthesia and other specialist areas.

Essential
- CCT or equivalent in anaesthesia , Advances module/SIA in anaesthetic subspeciality
Experience
Essential
- Wide range experience in clinical anaesthesia experience relevant to DGH
Desirable
- Experience of developing and delivering QIP; experience of engaging with and obtaining Anaesthesia Clinical Services Accreditation (ACSA)
