An opportunity has arisen to join our team at Colchester Hospital in the Cancer & Diagnostics Clinical Delivery Group (CDG).

We are inviting applications for a full-time Locum Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in MSK Imaging & General imaging.

This is a 1 year fixed term post whilst the division review the specialty needs and recruit substantively.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

o Work with colleagues to provide a consultant-led service with the highest standards of care

o Work with the multi-professional team to develop care pathways and clinical guidelines

o Develop and maintain good working practices within wards, outpatients and A&E

o Collaborate and promote close working links with colleagues in tertiary centres, community services and primary care

o Offer support and leadership to junior medical colleagues, nursing colleagues and other members of the multi-disciplinary team

Qulaifications

Essential

  • GMC
  • FRCR or equivalent
  • Appropriate subspecialty training

Experience

Essential

  • Training in all aspects of diagnostic radiology with previous experience in NHS
  • Ability to supervise, perform and report techniques in chosen area of expertise
