Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hive EPR team powered by Epic and join the Administrative Workstream as an Analyst.

The Administrative Workstream are responsible for patient access and this vacancy is within the Cadence & Springboard teams, responsible for patient appointments, waiting lists, pathways and patient communications. The Analyst is a vital colleague supporting further development of technical solutions, working closely with our clinical and operational teams.

Under the direction of your line manager, you will assist with analysing and documenting current and future workflows, and either match these to those already built into theEPR system or facilitate agreement for changes in working practice. You will support with the modification of theEPRsystem using software configuration tools,so it works effectively for our patients.

You will support otherEPRmoduleteams in integrated areas which requires close collaborative working with otherEPRand Trust teams. You will assist your line manager to upgrade, test, fix and configure the system thoroughly to ensure that it is safe, usable, secure and robust and that it works as expected. You will provide support to end-users using your application knowledge through regular meetings and through incident investigation and resolution.

Main duties of the job

The assessment process for this role includes Sphinx testing which an aptitude assessment designed to evaluate critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent or relevant experience
  • Evidence of Personal Development

Desirable

  • Qualification in Project Management or Business Analysissirable
  • Clinical Qualification
  • Epic Accreditation

Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of clinical, administrative, and operational workflows within a hospital environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and their applications.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Lean & 6 sigma analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection Act, GDPR & Information Governance.
  • Knowledge of HealthCare I.T. systems
  • Knowledge of managing projects or areas of complex working practices.
  • Knowledge of NHS Information Standards and their application

Training and Experience

Essential

  • Experience of delivering work packages in a timely and efficient manger.
  • Experience of communicating concepts to a range of people.

Desirable

  • Previous/current NHS experience
  • Experience with process mapping, or technical and business requirements, documentation
  • Experience of clinical safety considerations
