We are looking for full-time General Consultant Radiologists with specialist interests in any sub-specialty interests. Candidates with experience and interest in Urology or Oncological Radiology would be especially welcomed.

If successful you would be joining our expanding Consultant establishment in recognition of the increased demand we are experiencing in imaging.

Main duties of the job

With the wider multi-disciplinary team, you would be expected to deliver a diagnostic radiology service of high quality.

  • Contribute to development of the general and specialist imaging service to support the Trust in ensuring provision of high quality diagnostic support throughout the week including sessions in ultrasound & cross-sectional imaging.
  • Work flexibly with colleagues to support the timely management of emergencies and inpatients.
  • Undertake an appropriate share of the on-call rota for diagnostic radiology.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary clinical meetings (MDT).
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical protocols.
  • Ensure that standards are maintained and developed through clinical audit, evidence- based research and appraisal

  • CCT Registration

Experience

Essential

  • Broad and wide experience within Radiology equivalent to Specialist Registrar training
  • Sub specialty interests
  • Involvement in Clinical Audit / Research
  • Teaching / coaching junior staff members
