Job summary

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Staff Nurse to join Giffard Ward at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.

Giffard Ward is a 16-bed general surgery ward proving care for patients, both elective and emergency, with a wide range of acute surgical conditions.

The Staff Nurse role is integral in the direct delivery of nursing care, including the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care from admission to discharge.

You will be responsible and accountable for safe, compassionate person-centred evidence-based nursing whilst maintaining dignity of service users at all times. You will support, promote, and develop the professional skills of registered and unregistered colleagues through knowledge and competence and in partnership with the Acute Practice development Team.
