Job summary
This is an
exciting opportunity for a Static Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join the Trust.
We have a full-time, post available. The
post offers an excellent foundation for anyone looking to develop their skills
in this dynamic area of physiotherapy.
This is a fixed term post to provide cover for absence for specific
purpose that we anticipate will be required for 6 months. We reserve the right to end this contract
sooner with appropriate notice.
We have locations at Evesham/ Pershore, Bromsgrove,
Malvern/ Upton and Worcester/ Droitwich you will be supported by a highly
experienced local team, including clinical and operational team leads, Advanced
Practitioners, First Contact Practitioners, and fellow physiotherapists within
the Trust.
You will benefit from ongoing personal
and professional development through daily ad-hoc learning opportunities, as
well as participation in our structured five-weekly in-service training and
clinical supervision programme. The service has strong, well-established links
with partners across the county, and the Trust offers a clear structure for
career progression, coaching, and mentoring. There are excellent opportunities
to gain new skills, be involved in innovative clinical developments, and, if
applicable, enrol onto the Trusts preceptorship programme.
Main duties of the job
The role involves the assessment and
delivery of physiotherapy interventions for adults across Worcestershire,
working within a busy outpatient department based in local community hospitals.
You will assess, treat, and manage a varied MSK caseload, with referrals
received from GPs, acute services in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, and
self-referrals. This caseload will include patients with acute conditions such
as fractures and post-operative presentations, as well as those with
longer-term MSK conditions including low back pain, osteoarthritis, and
tendinopathies. You will be expected, when clinically appropriate, to refer on to
other services such as Advanced Practice Physiotherapy, MDT pathways, strength
classes, and the Functional Restoration Service. You will engage fully in
supervision with senior team members and participate in our scheduled
professional activity programme.
We expect the postholder to deliver
high-quality, patient-centred care supported by evidence-based practice. You
will also have opportunities to contribute to service development, support the
teaching and supervision of colleagues and students, and play a role in shaping
future service provision.
A key aspect of the role involves
contributing to our well-established Practice-Based Learning programme for
physiotherapy students from the University of Worcester.
