We are pleased to advertise two full-time (10 PA) substantive Respiratory Medicine consultant posts with unselected general medicine on-call (excl. acute cardiology and stroke) at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, based across Wycombe Hospital and Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Part-time working will be considered.

The successful applicants will join a team of eight enthusiastic, forward-thinking Respiratory Consultants. We are seeking colleagues with strong teamwork skills and a passion for lung and pleural cancer diagnostics, including bronchoscopy, pleural procedures, MDT input, and outpatient care, including our new lung screening service.

Candidates with specialist interests are welcome to discuss how their skills may fit within the department. Leadership development/involvement in teaching medical students and junior doctors are encouraged.

All applicants within 6 months of CCT at interview date are welcome and all other subspecialist interests would be considered, and mentored. Less than full time working will be considered and welcomed.

The Respiratory Team has approximately 45 inpatients. 2 consultants run the 2 wards on rotation. 3 registrars and 2 IMT from the HETV/Oxford rotation and 9 juniors support the wards. We provide COPD and COVID early supported discharge.
