Job summary

The Audiology Department are looking for a friendly and team focussed audiologist to support the provision of adult audiology services. You will be joining a diverse and friendly team of audiologists, admin and management, who are all focussed on providing the best possible service to our patients.

We are looking for an experienced Audiologist with an interest or specialist knowledge in advanced testing, tinnitus, balance, home visits or wax removal. We also provide a comprehensive adult audiology service including GPDR, hearing aid fitting and maintenance, and ENT support. All Audiologists are given an area of responsibility and would be supported with necessary training and development. We work four days a week which may suit clinicians looking to address work/life balance, prefer a varied working week or those looking for their next challenge.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities for patient/client care, treatment and therapy

Advanced procedures are performed as appropriate to the grade

To effectively manage a diverse Adult diagnostic & rehabilitations caseload and wax removal and/or tinnitus and/or balance diagnostic patients once competencies are demonstrated

Digital hearing aids are fitted to approved protocols including REM and HIT / coupler matching

Person Specification

Education/ Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc in Audiology or PTP or BSc in Health Care Sciences (Audiology)
  • RCCP/AHCS or HCPC registration must be held.

Experience/ Knowledge

Essential

  • Proven experience in an audiology healthcare setting

Desirable

  • Two or more years Post Graduate experience within an NHS setting.

Skills/ Abilities

Desirable

  • Previous home visit experience.
  • Experience in fitting Signia and Oticon Hearing Aids
