An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding Maternity Theatre Team. We are recruiting across a number of roles and are looking for passionate, motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centred environment.

If you are passionate about patient care, willing to learn and keen to develop specialist perioperative skills, we will provide the support, training and development opportunities needed to help you succeed.

Whilst based within maternity theatres, our workforce model provides opportunities to broaden your skills and experience across wider theatre specialities including:

  • Day Case Surgery

This allows staff to develop specialist maternity expertise whilst maintaining a wide range of perioperative skills.

A 24-Hour Service

As part of a service that operates around the clock, staff have the opportunity to work days, nights, weekends and out-of-hours shifts, gaining exposure to both elective and emergency care.

Experience

Essential

  • Can demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice in relation to theatre setting

Desirable

  • Previous theatre experience

Skills

Essential

  • Can demonstrate a contribution towards providing a positive learning environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good written and verbal skills.

Desirable

  • Computer skills

Knowledge

Essential

  • Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
  • Show some awareness of theatre speciality.

Desirable

  • IV skills

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered ODP or RGN (or on a programme of education leading to registration)

Desirable

  • Teaching / assessing qualification

Other Requirements

Essential

  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Able to work flexibly within contracted hours including night duty and on-call/standby.
