We are looking to recruit full time/ part time Band 5 positions across our theatre departments. We have vacancies for Scrub, Anaesthetics and Recovery practitioners. A structured induction package is available to all new starters – preceptorship tailored to professional requirements is offered to all newly qualified nurses and ODPs. We will support you to become the very best that you can be.

This is a fantastic opportunity for theatre practitioners to enhance, expand and develop their existing skills and knowledge in a diverse range of surgical specialties including Head and Neck surgery, Opthalmology, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Vascular, Breast, Urology, Gynaecology and General Surgery across 20 operating theatres.

Knowledge

  • Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality

  • Can demonstrate a contribution towards providing a positive learning environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good written and verbal skills.

Experience

  • Can demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice in relation to theatre setting

  • Previous theatre experience

Qualifications

  • Registered ODP or RGN (or on a programme of education leading to registration)

  • Teaching / assessing qualification

  • Able to work flexibly within contracted hours including night duty and on-call/standby.
