This is a senior leadership opportunity with responsibility for providing strategic leadership and direction across the Trust’s Fire Safety, Health & Safety and Security functions, acting as the senior specialist adviser and providing assurance around statutory compliance and organisational risk.

Main duties of the job

The Head of Fire, Health & Safety and Security is required to ensure compliance with the various statutory legislation, deliver training, carry out inspections and audits against the current fire, health & safety and security practices around the Trust and legislation that is in place. Ensuring a programme of audit is in place to provide assurance that organisational fire, health & safety and security policies are being followed.

We are looking for someone with the necessary qualifications, knowledge and experience to lead a small team who are required to ensure compliance with statutory legislation.

The post holder will be an expert in their field and will provide strategic direction and leadership in the management of the Trust’s statutory Health, Safety, Fire and Security duties to ensure a healthy environment for all employees, service users, contractors and public.This is a unique opportunity to shape the Trust’s Fire, Health & Safety and Security strategy to ensure the safety and continuity of care across the organisation.
