Join us and be part of an extraordinary team that is transforming the landscape of cancer treatment.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated MR Radiographer to join our established team of reporting Radiographers as our first MR reporting Radiographer. You will attend University to undertake a postgraduate qualification in MR brain reporting, supported by a Consultant Radiologist mentor. Following successful completion of the qualification and preceptorship period, you will autonomously interpret and report MR brain scans in patients with first presentation brain metastasis.As a senior member of the MR team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our MR service. You will support the MR Lead in developing a team of talented Radiographers, ensuring the provision of high-quality care across 4 scanners.
Main duties of the job
MAIN DUTIES:o Autonomously interpret and report MR brain scans in patients with first presentation brain metastasis.o Provide leadership and guidance to a team of radiographers, promoting their professional growth and development.o Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment planning.o Drive the implementation of new technologies and techniques, staying at the forefront of advancements in MR radiography.o Participate in departmental audits, research projects and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.REQUIREMENTS:o BSc in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent)o Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)o Evidence of postgraduate studyo Strong background in MR imagingo Ability to use own initiative, analyse and solve problems and make decisionso Ability to build, maintain and develop effective working relationships inside and outside the Trusto Extensive technical knowledge of MR in a clinical oncology settingo Understanding of the hazards posed by the magnetic field and radiofrequencies in the MR environmento Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up to date with industry advancements.

- Diploma of the College of Radiographers
- BSc in Radiography, or equivalent.
- HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer
- Evidence of postgraduate study

- Significant clinical MRI experience
- Experience of teaching and facilitating the learning and development of others
- Experience of clinical audit
