This is an exciting opportunity to join our senior People leadership team and shape three key services that directly influence our people, culture and organisational performance.
We are looking for an experienced and credible senior HR leader to provide strategic leadership across Employee Relations, Learning & Development and Occupational Health & Wellbeing.
With significant transformation underway across the Trust, you will have the opportunity to influence how we support, develop and care for our workforce, while strengthening management capability and creating a positive employee experience.
Main duties of the job
You will provide strategic leadership across Employee Relations, Learning & Development and Occupational Health, working closely with Executive Directors, senior leaders, managers and staff-side colleagues.
A key focus will be developing a more proactive approach to employee relations, strengthening management capability and ensuring complex workforce matters are managed fairly, consistently and effectively.
You will also lead the development of our learning, leadership, health and wellbeing approaches, using workforce intelligence to identify risks and opportunities and drive improvement across the Trust.
As a senior member of the People Directorate Leadership Team, you will contribute to Trust-wide workforce strategy, transformation and organisational performance.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD/FCIPD) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent level of experience.
Desirable
- Executive leadership qualification.
- Accredited coaching qualification.
- Qualification in mediation, organisational development or workplace investigation
Experience
Essential
- Significant senior HR leadership experience within a large and complex organisation
- Proven experience of leading Employee Relations services, including complex case management, workforce policy development and employment litigation risk management.
- Experience of leading and developing Learning and Development strategies aligned to organisational objectives.
Desirable
- Experience within an NHS provider organisation.
- Experience of working across Integrated Care Systems and partnership organisations.
