We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated 8 PA Consultant Medical Oncologist with a responsibility in Lung and Renal Cancers at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust

Main duties of the job

The post will be based at Nottingham University Hospital, City Hospital Campus, with outpatient clinics at the City Hospital and at Kings Mill Hospital.

None of these tumours sites will be single-handed practice but will involve working along-side colleagues already specialist in each tumour site.

Person Specification

Professional Registration

Essential

  • Full GMC registration Eligible to be included on the Specialist Register CCT expected within 6 months of interview date

Professional Qualifications/Development

Essential

  • MRCP or equivalent FRCR

Desirable

  • Research publications in peer review journals

Clinical Skills/Experience

Essential

  • Experience and special interest in Renal, Melanoma and CUP
  • Experience in prescribing and managing patients with systemic anti-cancer therapy

Management Skills

Essential

  • Able to develop, present and operationalise coherent ideas for service development/delivery.

Teaching, Audit & Research

Essential

  • Evidence of participation in Clinical Audit.
  • Able to teach and support junior staff effectively.

Practical Requirements

Essential

  • Ability to travel between City Hospital Campus and Kings Mill Hospitals
