The RUH has a tertiary satellite specialist pulmonary hypertension service, affiliated with The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. Circa 250 referrals per annum are received from around the South West and Wales. The appointee will be involved in reporting CT and MRI for patients with suspected pulmonary hypertension and participating in the weekly PH MDT. There will be an additional requirement to report for and participate in the ILD MDT
An ability to contribute to the cardiac CT +/- MRI service is desirable although not essential. With a specialist cardiac CT list on average at least once a day, the department performs approximately 1200-1400 CTCAs per annum, including CT coronary angiography, aortic valve calcium scoring and TAVI planning scans.
