Somerset NHS Foundation Trust
Job summary
Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking experienced doctors to join our Obstetrics and Gynaecology team at Musgrove Park Hospital as Trust Grade Registrars (ST4+ equivalent) on 12-month fixed-term contracts.
These posts offer an opportunity to develop and consolidate middle-grade clinical experience across a busy general Obstetrics and Gynaecology service. They may suit doctors taking time out of a formal training programme, seeking experience outside training, or looking to broaden their skills before their next career step.
You will contribute to labour ward care, obstetric and gynaecological emergencies, inpatient management and outpatient services, working closely with consultant colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team. The posts include participation in the resident middle-grade rota, covering nights, long days and weekends, with non-resident consultant support and appropriate escalation.
Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practise, MRCOG Part 1 or equivalent, and clinical experience and competence appropriate to ST4 level or above in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology, including registrar-level emergency and on-call responsibilities.
Join a supportive department delivering a broad range of women’s health services in Somerset.
