The business is looking for a Indian Chef for its restaurant in Leicester.

Roles & Responsibilities:

You should have an experience in making Indian sweets and should be able to follow recipes and hygiene standards- Chef – Indian Expertise.
You will be responsible for preparing and cooking the Indian style sweets, maintaining the inventory of ingredients, ensuring the quality and freshness of the products, and delivering the orders to the customers. You will also be part of a friendly and supportive team that works together to create a memorable experience for our customers.

Prospective candidate must be experienced to cook using the equipment commonly used in Indian-style cooking. The Chef is required to know very well about different type of Indian cuisine with amazing & authentic Indian taste.
Must have knowledge regarding the combination of Ingredients and cooking style.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparation, cooking and presenting dishes.
•Assist with stock ordering and monitoring.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health & safety.
• Participate fully in all meetings, training, personal development and forums.
• Demonstrate excellent food preparation practices, portion control and end to end food production.
• Supporting the other staffs to deliver on targets.
• Follow all company operational kitchen process and procedures, achieving all required standards.
• Take responsibility for delivering the highest measures of food production and presentation to customers including manning the live cooking stations if required.
• Monitor food consumption to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and minimum waste.
• Support in the introduction of new seasonal dishes to maintain profit margins.
• Cascade your knowledge and expert cooking to all kitchen staff.
• Suggested innovation and commercially viable ideas to improve food quality.

Quality:
1) Maintains and monitors hygiene, health and safety standards and monitors that Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations are adhered.
2) Maintains and monitors quality, conducts quality control checks according to regulations.
3) Conducts quality checks of goods received
4) Monitors and ensures compliance with recipe specifications Leadership
5) Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
6) Create daily schedule to ensure proper staffing requirements are met
7) Guide, motivate and develop the subordinate employees.

Relevant Experience:
1. Expertise in Indian sweets cooking.
2. Minimum 3 years, high volume catering/banquet experience.
3. Excellent knowledge of relevant food and health & safety regulations.
4. Strong and rational communication, documentation and organizational skills.
5. Knowledge and maintain food cost and hygiene regulations.
6. Ability to lead and mentor a team with high volume, restaurant experience and must have worked in restaurants doing over sales annually.
7. Skilled in writing production lists, F&B proposals and requisitions.

Benefits & Salary:
• Annual package is £35000 to £39000 depending on experience.
