Job Summary
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the company. You will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping.
What will you be doing day to day?
- Maintaining records of the Sale and Purchase Orders and fulfilling Customer Orders once they become due.
- Getting the Transport Quote and approving the same by reviewing them with the previous Order Quotes
- Resolving Customer Queries as an when required
- Reviewing carriage costs from Freight Forwarder to ensure the billing in accordance with our contract.
- Circulating Weekly Inventory position for the Warehouse
- Managing company correspondence, including phone calls, emails, letters, and packages
- Managing inventory of office supplies, including stationery and multimedia equipment to ensure smooth office operations
- Follow-up with Warehouse as and when required.
- Handling insurances, certificates of Origin, samples for customers as and when required.
What will we need from you?
- Basic knowledge of accounting procedures such as bookkeeping and other general financial procedures
- Presentation skills and customer service knowledge
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience in a related role Accounts Assistant or other relevant position
- Knowledge of computer programs used in daily office administration functions such as word processors, spreadsheets, SAGE/QuickBooks and specialised office management tools
- Proficiency in filing and paper management, including the ability to manage business correspondence and the ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to research and an aptitude for helping other people.
