The successful candidate will be expected to join the IT on call shift.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and innovative individual who wants to join our Desktop Support Team. As part of a team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support to clients and users of computers, peripherals and the network including desktops, laptops, and handheld devices on wired and wireless networks, ensuring both physical and data security is maintained. Experience of working in a MS Windows environment including Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook is essential. In addition, experience of Active Directory and remote support tools would be desirable.

The IT Support Engineer will be a skilled and experienced member of the DTS support function. The post holder will be expected to perform tasks unsupervised but with appropriate technical support. You must have an enthusiasm for maintaining high quality services. Excellent IT skills and a commitment to provide excellent customer service is essential. A flexible attitude to your day-to-day work is needed due to often changing priorities. The desktop support function relies on teamwork, experience of working in a technical team is required as is the willingness to input to the team.

Once experience is obtained in the position, the successful candidate will be expected to join the IT on call shift. This position will require traveling from site to site so a full UK driving licence and own transport is essential.
