Job Summary

The occupational therapy service is looking for an occupational therapy technician to work at a Band 4 grade as part of the occupational therapy team based in the Grange University Hospital.

Under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist the post holder will be expected to provide practical support to the occupational therapy team, including providing occupational therapy intervention for service users on an individual basis within the hospital setting and in a community setting.

Main duties of the job

You will work with others and independently provide interventions and undertake specific technical and administrative tasks as delegated by the lead or supervising occupational therapist. They will carry a delegated caseload for those service users that have less complex occupational therapy needs and may undertake assessments or reviews following screening by the occupational therapist. They are required to respond flexibly to changing needs within the occupational therapy service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
