Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Web Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital design principles and a passion for creating user-friendly, visually appealing websites. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web pages while ensuring an optimal user experience across various devices. Your expertise in content management systems and graphic design will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement visually engaging web pages using industry-standard tools and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective web solutions.
• Utilise content management systems to manage website content efficiently.
• Ensure usability and accessibility standards are met across all web platforms.
• Develop interactive features using frameworks such as Angular and Node.js.
• Create prototypes and wireframes using InVision to communicate design concepts effectively.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of web design trends, tools, and technologies, including Adobe Creative Suite and Python.
• Conduct regular testing and optimisation of websites to enhance performance and user experience.
• Work closely with graphic designers to ensure cohesive branding across digital platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Web Designer or similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Joomla.
• Solid understanding of usability principles and best practices in web design.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and Node.js is preferred.
• Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Knowledge of digital design trends and techniques that enhance user engagement.
• Understanding of VHDL is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
